Meet Our Owners, Aaron & Travis
Aaron and Travis are brothers-in-law who diligently strive to provide Manatee and Sarasota County with exceptional environmental services. For over a decade, they aided in the growth and success of Terry’s Tree Service before purchasing the company from Terry and Julie McKamey in 2021. Terry and Julie laid a firm foundation built on integrity and character, which helped shape Aaron and Travis into the men they are today. Continuing their legacy and upholding “Terry’s Tree Service” as a household name in Manatee and Sarasota County, is their most important goal. Terry’s Tree continues to grow thanks to the amazing team of people that surrounds them.

I bring 27 years of hands-on experience in the tree industry. I'm a Certified Arborist with specialized qualifications in Tree Risk Assessment and Tree Pruning. Married to my high school sweetheart for over 21 years, I'm a proud father of five amazing children: Asa, Avaya, Azariah, Charles, and Jaxson. My wife and I have also had the incredible privilege of being foster parents for more than a decade, a journey that has deepened our passion for family and service. Outside of work, our family loves to travel, fish, and spend time together outdoors — creating memories and sharing laughs wherever we go.

I serve as the Operations Manager at Terrys Tree Service. I joined Terry’s Tree Service 13 years ago and through hard work and dedication, I “climbed” to the top. I enjoy creating a learning environment as well as a team first mentality. No one job is more important than the one I'm on. After hours, you will find me enjoying anything sports related, whether it’s playing football or watching a Knicks game.

Megan York has been a part of the team since 2020. With over 13 years of experience in customer service, she brings professionalism, organization, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. A Bradenton, Florida native, Megan takes pride in supporting both her team and community with dependable, high-quality service.

I started in the tree industry in 2011 as a ground man clearing power lines in Charlotte NC. I quickly worked my way up to bucket operator and then foreman. By 2015 I was running a crew of 13 climbers clearing power lines. In 2018 I moved to Florida where I started working for Terry's Tree Service where I became a certified arborist, certified tree care safety professional, and a plant health care specialist. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Misty, for 7 years.

I started out as a self-trained climber with rough skills. Through the years I was trained by highly skilled and certified arborists. I now possess a wealth of tree care related knowledge and a high level of technical skills. I enjoy working with nature and preserving its beauty for the future. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Caroline, for 11 years and we have 2 young boys. On the weekends we enjoy boating and soaking up the Florida sun.
