About the Owner

After working for a tree company for a number of years, our owner started Terry's Tree Service in 1984. Terry McKamey has been a certifed arborist since 2005. Julie McKamey, his wife,  has received her certification as well. As true arborists, we are always educating ourselves to proper tree care standards.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TRAVIS NEWELL!!

Our crew leader/foreman has received his Arborist certification!!

After taking the class for 8 weeks, Travis sat for the exam the first weekend of December.

He received the news the first week of January that he is now a Certified Arborist.

We are so proud of his hardwork and we look forward to his contributions to Terry's Tree Service.

 

Remember to go onto the ISA website and look up an Arborist's credentials.

We work hard to achieve and maintain our credentials.  Anyone can say they are an Arborist.

The only way to receive credentials is through certification and they should have a number on the ISA website. 

 

    The International Society of Arboriculture is having its annual international conference and trade show in Portland, Oregon.  August 11-15 2012.

It will be four full days of education and training in plant health, tools and techniques, risk assessment, structural pruning as well as competition in the International Tree Climbing Championships.

This is part of our committment to you the customer to assure you that we are trained in the latest techniques and processes.

 

 

Julie attended "Planting and Establishment With Grades and Standards of Nursery Plants" in Sarasota, part of the ongoing education to remain a certified arborist.

 

September 16th, 2011 our crew attended an "Arborist Safety and Climbing 2011" class hosted by the International Arborist Society Florida Chapter in Seffner Florida. The following is a small portion of what they learned.
